  Wick Green
One of the best banks on the lake from start to finish. Always fish here to be caught. Gently shelving bank provides excellent wading area and the prevailing winds always bring fish up from the anglers right towards Herriots. Weed beds off shore provide plenty of food. Boat fishing also very good but remember to give the bank anglers plenty of room. Fishing along the reed beds above Wick is one of the great pleasures of fishing Chew. As well as plenty of fish watch out for the abundant wildlife. Here is your chance to see a bittern! If you're not interested in birds then keep a close watch on your dries as this is one place you'll always find a few moving fish. Also a good area for fry feeders in the autumn. Drifting off Wick in a south wind will take you across the Roman Shallows and on to Nunnery Point. This long drift can produce fish all the way across the lake.
