There is no fishing from the bank in the Sailing Club area. Early season with sinking lines produces good catches of fish from here, but as the season progresses fish come near the surface and there are often moving fish to be seen throughout the day. Boats drift off from the Sailing Club towards the Island in westerly winds and these are very good drifts especially in the evening. There are always some rising fish here feeding on the hatches of buzzers. Beware of the yachts especially when there are races on as they have right of way when you're drifting as well as motoring.
