  Woodford Bank
Possibly the favourite bank fishing area on the lake. Easy access and parking with the Lodge facilities near by make this bank the first place many anglers head for. Add to that the quality of the fishing in recent years and you can understand why. The shore is made up of cages full of stone to prevent erosion. This gives easy fishing into fairly deep water with no need to wade. This is also one of the banks where the wind blows plenty of food stuffs into the bank bringing the fish right under your feet. Many trout are caught with the end of the fly line pulled past the top rod ring. This is also the best area for fry feeders during the autumn with big trout crashing into the shore chasing the small roach and perch. The boat fishing off shore is also very good and many anglers finish their day with a couple of drifts off the Lodge. Another area which always seems to have some rising fish to be found.
